Jackson Competition Info

...and that's it! Build season is just about done and our first competition is upon us!

I'm proud of how all of our students worked this year. There are a lot of 'firsts' for 6570 this year, and they're all due to the efforts of our students. To make sure our kids can take part this upcoming weekend, we have some business to take care of and information for you families out there.

1) We have an all-call practice this Wednesday at 4:00pm at the shop to pack, distribute uniform shirts, etc. If your student can't make it, please let us know ASAP by marking availability on TeamSnap. If you are donating snacks or have other materials that should be loaded on the trailer, they'll need to be loaded on Wednesday.

2) There is a permission slip required by FIRST that must be filled out before Thursday. The form is completed online, and I've sent invitations to all parent e-mails for you to fill out. Please check your mailboxes, the mail will be coming from FIRST, not me. If you do not receive the invite to register your child, please contact me ASAP.

3) This week we are carpooling to and from Jackson each day. We will meet at the school and leave/arrive at the times listed below. Thanks to our parent volunteers and organizers, we have enough seats for each day to shuttle kids back and forth. Sandwiches will be provided for dinner on Thursday before we head up to the event.

 

Here are the times we'll leave and arrive each day. Please have your student to the school before our departure times! Return times are flexible, and we encourage kids to text you when we head home so you have a heads up on exact pickup times.

Again, big shout out to the parents and students who have been working to make this all possible. I'm really excited for both of our competitions, and I hope you are too.
